California
Drought
Water is an obvious necessity
for life. We get a lot of our water from rain, but what happens when we do not
have rain for a long time? It called a drought, California has been in a
drought for about four years now. It has caused many problems through out the
state, many of these problems include money problems. According to CNBC.com the drought cost California
2.74 billion dollars in 2015, which shows just how much this drought has affected the economy. The
drought has caused many prices to go up, such as vegetables, fruits, and nuts; these prices went up because
there is not a lot of water to produce the food so since the workers are loosing
money they have to raise up the prices with their customers. The California drought has had a great
impact on money due to the severity that we have not been receiving water so
people are losing jobs and prices are going up.
